Fredericksburg is situated within the Texas Hill Country. It’s one of the largest viticulturist regions in the entire country, well-known for its vineyards and featuring more than 20 local wineries. Enchanted Rock

Enchanted Rock State Park
Enchanted Rock State Park is the most popular attraction in Fredericksburg and the 2nd most visited State Park in Texas. Enchanted Rock is an enormous pink granite pluton batholith dome rock located in the Llano Uplift approximately 17 miles north of downtown Fredericksburg, yet only 4 miles north of Contigo Ranch. The elevation is 1,825 feet and the history behind the formation dates back more than a billion years. Enjoy beautiful trails and hikes to the summit or special evenings star gazing.

National Museum of the Pacific War

Admiral Nimitz State Historical Site
A complex of the National Museum of the Pacific War, Admiral Nimitz Museum, and the Pacific Combat Zone. A world-class museum dedicated to Admiral Chester Nimitz, native of Fredericksburg, and the heros of the World War II Pacific Theatre. Historical re-enactments of the battles are offered on Saturday and Sunday one weekend a month from March – November. The Museum Complex is open year round, excluding Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve, and Christmas Day.

Main Street Fredericksburg

Main Street Fredericksburg
Main Street attractions include shopping, art galleries, Marktplatz with the Vereins Kirche, and Pioneer Museum (an open-air museum featuring historic building and houses). St. Mary’s Catholic Church, built in 1846 by the early German settlers, is only 1 block off Main Street and not to be missed.
