LODGING POLICIES

To ensure the best possible experience, we recommend booking your stay directly through our website. You’ll have access to our best available rates, greater flexibility, and direct support from our team should your plans change. Reservations made through third-party platforms may have different pricing and can be more difficult to modify or cancel.

PAYMENT

Reservations are confirmed with 50% of the total price as a deposit at the time of booking. Deposits will be refunded (less a $75 cancellation fee) for cancellations made more than 14 days prior to reservation.

Full reservation payment will be required on cancellations made within 14 days or less of the reservation date.

CANCELLATIONS

Contigo Ranch is a family owned and operated property. Due to the small size of our facility, cancellations can greatly affect our business. Therefore, we must uphold our cancellation policy without exception. Please verify your travel plans before confirming your booking. Our cancellation policy is as follows:

      • If you cancel 14 days or less prior to your confirmed arrival date no refund will be issued, and you will be responsible for the entire reservation amount.
      •  If you cancel 15 days or more prior to your confirmed arrival date, your deposit will be refunded in full minus a $75 cancellation fee which will be charged to the credit card on file. 
      • Refunds will not be issued for no shows, late arrivals, early departures, or cancellations made within 14 days of the scheduled arrival date regardless of the circumstances. 
      • There are no exceptions to this policy, including illness, family emergencies, or inclement weather.
      • Unique cancellation policies apply to Group Bookings for Weddings and Large Groups. Scroll to those sections for more information. 

 

INCLEMENT WEATHER

Our Cancellation Policies remain in effect regardless of weather conditions that may impact travel. 

 

CHECK IN – CHECK OUT

We are a contactless check in property. 

Check-in is anytime after 3 pm. Check out is at 11 am. 

Early check-ins and late checkouts are subject to availability and must be approved and are subject to an additional charge.

 

BREAKFAST

Breakfast is delivered to your door between 8-8:30 am. Breakfast is included for the amount of occupants your cottage or cabin holds. We will ask you to report your guest count. 


We can offer our standard breakfast or vegetarian breakfast with advance notice. Due to our small team, we cannot accommodate other dietary restrictions or preferences. We apologize for any inconvenience. 

If you wish to order extra breakfast, you must alert our team at least 24 hours in advance and the cost is $25 per breakfast.  

 

OCCUPANCY

Overnight RV parking or stays are not permitted. Air mattresses and cots are also not permitted or provided. 

 

PLUMBING & SEPTIC SYSTEM CARE

To protect the ranch’s septic systems, guests agree to flush only toilet paper and human waste. The following items are strictly prohibited from being flushed: 

      • Feminine hygiene products
      • Baby wipes or “flushable” wipes (they aren’t really flushable!)
      • Paper towels
      • Diapers or sanitary products
      • Any foreign objects 


If a plumbing issue occurs and prohibited items are found, the Guest agrees to a minimum $1,500 repair and service charge, which may be charged to the card on file. Additional damages exceeding this amount will be billed accordingly.

 

PETS

Dogs are allowed on the property under the following terms: 

      • When making your reservation it is required to notify Contigo Ranch if you plan to bring a dog for your stay to receive approval and pay a deposit. 
      • A $150 non-refundable deposit is required per unit, up to 2 dogs. Breed and/or size restrictions may apply. *This fee applies per unit your dog enters as it requires extra cleaning. Please keep this in mind if you are visiting with a group. 
      • With the pet fee, dog bowls, poop bags, and a blanket just for your dog are provided for use during your stay. 
      • Please do not allow dogs on furniture in your unit. 
      • Please no pigs, cats, pet rodents, or any other type of animal. Dogs only. A $500 fee will be charged to the credit card on file for any unauthorized pets found on property and you will be asked to vacate the premises.
      • When you are not in your unit and leave your dog behind, the dog must be kenneled. If you do not bring a kennel, you may be asked to leave without a refund.
      • We have a few kennels available for use on a first come first serve basis. Please notify our team ASAP if you need to use it during your visit. We cannot guarantee availability. 
      • ** If your dog’s behavior negatively impacts the experiences of other guests, you may be asked to leave without refund. 
      • Dogs must be kept on leash at all times while on the ranch. This is to protect them as well as our cattle and mini horses. 
      • **You are required to clean up after your pet when they go on the property.
      • Poop bags provided, but please bring extra and pick up after your pet and dispose of it in the dumpster located next to the large white barn near the ranch entry. 
      • An additional cleaning fee may be charged to your room if you are caught not properly cleaning up your pet’s waste. 
      • Our well water is clean and safe to drink for humans and dogs alike. However, it is recommended to bring water for your dog as a change of water source can be upsetting to some breeds. 

 

Any damages caused by you, your guests, or your dog(s) will be your responsibility and charged to the credit card on file for your unit. 

 

NO ELECTRIC VEHICLE CHARGING

At this time, Contigo Ranch does not offer on-site charging stations for electric vehicles. For the comfort and safety of all guests, plugging vehicles into any ranch power source is not permitted, as it can disrupt electrical service across the property. Any vehicle found charging on property will incur a $300 incidental fee. We appreciate your understanding and help in caring for the ranch and fellow guests.

We recommend charging on your way in at the local HEB or exploring other charging options available in town here.

 

CREDIT CARDS

We accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express. All reservations must be guaranteed with a valid credit card. If booking through a third-party booking site with a virtual card, a valid credit card will be required upon arrival for incidentals.

 

SMOKING

Smoking and vaping is prohibited inside cabins, cottages, and our event venues, including The Hall and The Barn. 

Cigarette and cigar butts should be properly disposed of and smokers should be extremely cautious when flicking and disposing as our area is often under a burn ban. Texas Hill Country is highly susceptible to fires. 

If cigarette or cigar butts are found near your unit or you are found disposing of your cigarette butts improperly on property, we reserve the right to charge a cleaning fee to the card on file.

Guests will be financially responsible ($500) for any cleaning or damage caused by smoking indoors. A $500 smoking fee will be automatically charged to the credit card on file.

 

DAMAGE DISCLAIMER

Our goal is to provide a unique experience for each guest, so we take pride in our linens, furnishings, decor, etc. Please report any spills or damage immediately. We reserve the right to charge for excess cleaning, damages, repairs or replacement costs as we deem necessary. Any fees will be charged to the card on file without prior approval or notification.

 

LOST OR FORGOTTEN ITEMS

Contigo Ranch is not responsible for loss of money, jewelry, or other valuables. Any items left after your departure can be returned to you for the cost of shipping + a $10 administrative fee. Any items not claimed after 30 days will be donated.

GROUP BOOKINGS: WEDDINGS

Lodging Requirements & Room Block Guarantee

To create a seamless and immersive wedding weekend experience, all wedding clients are required to book the full property lodging, including Cabins 1–5 and Cottages 6–16, for a two (2) night minimum stay. Lodging is priced separately from the venue rental fee. Upon receipt of your venue deposit to secure your wedding date, our team will provide detailed instructions for coordinating your guest room block and managing reservations. All standard Lodging Policies apply to Group Bookings for Weddings, however, unique payment schedules and cancellation policies apply. These policies are included in your Event Contract with Contigo Ranch.

      1. At 90 days prior to your wedding date, our team will provide an update on any remaining unreserved accommodations within your room block.
      2. At 60 days prior to your wedding date, any unreserved accommodations within your contracted room block will require a 50% deposit, which will be charged to the Client to guarantee those accommodations.
      3. At 14 days prior to arrival, the remaining balance for all guaranteed accommodations will be due.
      4. If someone in your group block cancels their reservation 15 days or more before their stay, the remaining balance for their unit is still due. This is per room.
      5. If someone in your group cancels their reservation 14 days or less before their stay, no refund will be issued. This is per room.
      6. If any accommodations that were previously guaranteed by the Client are later reserved by guests, all payments made by those guests will be applied toward the final balance of that reservation. 
      7. Deposits previously paid by the Client toward these accommodations are non-refundable and will not be reimbursed by Contigo Ranch.
      8. The Client is solely responsible for coordinating and collecting any reimbursement directly from their guests for deposits or payments made on their behalf.

GROUP BOOKINGS: LARGE GROUPS

      • All standard Lodging Policies apply to Group Bookings, however, unique payment schedules and cancellation policies apply to Group Bookings. 
      • To reserve a room block for a large group, a minimum of six (6) units must be reserved and financially guaranteed for a two (2) night minimum stay. Clients may request additional units beyond the six (6) unit minimum. 
        • Additional Units. Clients may request to hold additional units beyond the six (6) unit minimum. If you add additional units to the block, you must reserve and financially guarantee the additional units for a two night minimum stay.
      • A contract will be sent to the Point of Contact arranging the group booking. The Point of Contact is responsible for the financial guarantee. 
      • A nonrefundable $500 deposit is required to secure the block and will be applied toward the room of your choice. 
        • If you are arranging a group booking less than 90 days in advance, a nonrefundable 50% deposit is due at booking to hold the units in your block in lieu of a $500 nonrefundable deposit. 
      • At 90 days out from your reservation, our team will update you on how many units remain unbooked in your block.
      • At 60 days out from your reservation, a 50% deposit will be due for the units in your block.
      • 14 days ahead of your reservation, the final balance will be due on all units in your group block.
      • If someone in your group block cancels their reservation 15 days or more before their stay, the remaining balance for their unit is still due. This is per room.
      • If someone in your group cancels their reservation 14 days or less before their stay, no refund will be issued. This is per room.
      • Deposits previously paid by the Client toward these accommodations are non-refundable and will not be reimbursed by Contigo Ranch. The Client is solely responsible for coordinating and collecting any reimbursement directly from their guests for deposits or payments made on their behalf.
      • Group Lodging pricing is specifically for room blocks and reflects the coordination and management required for group reservations. While our website’s pricing may sometimes appear different, ‘Group Lodging’ provides dedicated group management and our team’s assistance in coordinating additional amenities and activities for your group’s experience.
