Contigo Ranch Pet Policy

  • Kindly notify Contigo Ranch in writing 72 hours in advance of any dog to be on the property.*
  • Dogs are not permitted to stay in cottages N0.6 through No.16 due to the Contigo Ranch Wildlife Management Program on the cottage side of the property.  Please walk dogs on the cabin side of the ranch only – before the cattle guard/main gate.
  • Dogs are permitted in cabins No.1 through No.5.  No other animals are permitted at  Contigo Ranch.
  • A $150 + tax, non-refundable pet fee is required per cabin with a two dog maximum per cabin.  Should you be traveling with more than two dogs, a second cabin must be rented with an additional pet fee assessed.
    • All dogs must be kept on a leash at all times while on the ranch.  Please walk dogs on the cabin side of the property only, as dogs are not permitted in the cottage area of the ranch. We have several friendly ranch cats around the property who are afraid of dogs.
  • Dogs must be kenneled in cabins when the pet owner is not present in the cabin.
  • Please bring disposable bags to clean up all pet mess and dispose of in the dumpster which is located next to the large white barn near ranch entry.
  • Excessive barking/aggressive behavior will be cause for immediate checkout.
  • Pets are not permitted on Contigo bedding or furniture.
  • If pets cause harm or damage to other guests, pets, cabins, property grounds, furniture or bedding management reserves the right to assess damage fees to the credit card on file.
  • Extra cleaning fees may be assessed at the discretion of management if housekeeping finds it necessary to make additional clean-up after dogs.

Dogs are welcome to participate in wedding ceremonies at The Bluff.

*Contigo Ranch does not permit dog breeds that insurance providers have identified as having a history of aggression.  These include, but are not limited to, Doberman Pinscher, Rottweiler, Pit Bull, American Pitbull Terrier, American Staffordshire Terrier and Staffordshire Bull Terrier.
